Call - In Poker, to match the current bet.

Call Bet - Any bet made verbally.

Camouflage - Anything a gambler does to conceal his or her actions from the casino.

Capping - Placing extra chips on a bet after the deal has started. Illegal, and a serious form of player cheating.

Card Shark - An expert card player.

Caribbean Stud Poker - A form of five-card poker in which players compete against the house.

Carousel - A group of slot machines arranged in a circle, with a change person positioned in the center to exchange paper money into coins for the players.

Carpet Joint - A luxury casino. Slang.

Case Money - Emergency money.

Cashier's Cage - The cash desk in a casino where the cashier exchanges chips for money at the end of a gambling session.

Casino Advantage - A casino's edge (statistical or otherwise) over gamblers.

Casino Rate - A discounted hotel room sometimes offered by a casino to its customers.

Catch - In Keno, when a number you have chosen is drawn.

Change Color - To exchange any one-color denomination chip for another color chip.

Chase - To place another bet in the hopes of regaining money originally lost.

Check - In a casino, another term for Chip. In Poker, to stay in the game without placing a bet.

Chemin De Fer - A table game using 6 or 8 decks of cards, similar to Baccarat but requiring skill.

Chips - Round plastic discs representing different denominations of money. Casinos require chips.

Chip Tray - The tray near the dealer that holds the table's chips.

Coat Tail - To bet the same numbers as someone who is currently winning.

Cold - To be Cold is to be on a losing streak.

Color Up - To exchange smaller-denomination chips for larger denomination chips. Sometimes called Color Out.

Combination Way Ticket - In Keno, a ticket betting groups of numbers in different ways, giving the player a wider range of winning combinations.

Comps - Complimentary gifts offered to players by a casino, in order to make the player want to gamble. Usually includes food and beverages.

Come Bet - In Craps, a bet placed on the Come Line.

Come Line - In Craps, area of the table where a Come Bet is placed.

Come Out Roll - In Craps, the shooter's first roll in any given round. Establishes the Point.

Copy - A Push in Pai Gow Poker, when the player and the banker have the same two-card or five-card hand. Unlike a Push, however, the banker wins in the event of a copy.

Counting Cards - Memorizing played cards in a game of Blackjack in order to gain an advantage against the dealer on the remaining (unplayed) cards.

Cracking The Nut - Winning enough money on a gambling trip to cover all expenses and bring home a small profit. Slang.

Craps - A casino table game played with dice.

Craps Out - In Craps, a roll of 2, 3, or 12 on the Come Out Roll.

Credit - In slot or video machines, the button allowing players to play coins in the form of credits.

Crew - In Craps, the dealers assigned to the game or table.

Crossroader - A cheater. Slang.

Croupier - Another word for Dealer, used in Baccarat and Roulette.

Cut - To divide a deck into two parts.

Cut Card - A faceless plastic card used to cut the deck.
